Cathren Housley, a native of Buffalo NY, came to Providence in 1979 to attend the Rhode Island School of Design (her 4th college) and never went back. Over the years, her eclectic career has included the roles of illustrator, product designer, sculptor, puppeteer, TV and film actress, rock musician, producer, installation artist, teacher and writer.


Cathren decided to go back to school in 2005. She is a recent graduate of the Children's Book Illustration certificate program at RISD and is now embarked on a new career in publishing.
